The court decides which matters go on submission and which are set down for argument. Oral argument and conferences are heard in person on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. They were heard on Tuesdays through May 26, 2026 and on Thursdays after that date.

Adjournment requests go to the Part Clerk. An adjournment that carries a matter more than 60 days past the original return date must state a reason.

On August 20, 2026, on an order to show cause to be relieved as counsel, the court granted the application, relieved this office, and stayed all proceedings for 60 days so that the plaintiff could retain new counsel. The decision was oral from the bench, and the written order was to be uploaded to NYSCEF. (Zeas v. DKM Steel, Index No. 156559/24.) This is an account of one appearance on one date, not a published part rule.
