Practitioner Intelligence
Observations from our office's appearances, kept separate from the published rules above. Last reviewed: November 2, 2026.
What to Expect
A request to certify a case at a compliance conference will be measured against what discovery is still owed, and the court will set short deadlines rather than certify over an objection.
Field Note: October 8, 2026
On October 8, 2026, our office appeared for a plaintiff at a compliance conference and asked to certify the case ready for trial. The defense said the plaintiff still owed discovery, and the case was not certified. Justice Fischer so-ordered a stipulation giving the plaintiff ten days to furnish authorizations and set a final certification conference about three weeks out. That is an account of a specific appearance, not a published rule.
