Calendar Times and a Default Call

“All conferences and appearances shall be held on Thursdays and Fridays at either 9:30 a.m. or 2:30 p.m., unless otherwise noted, and shall be in person unless a party has been granted prior court approval to appear virtually.” “A default calendar will be called at 11:00 a.m. or 3:00 p.m.”

Virtual Appearance by Email Request Only

Conference Adjournments

Request by email to the Principal Court Attorney with all parties copied, proposing new dates and stating whether all parties consent. The rules bar calling the Principal Court Attorney or the part to request an adjournment of a conference.

Motions

Motions are returnable in the Motion Support Office, Room 217. “Oral argument of motions regarding disclosure disputes are mandatory” and is held in person in Part 30. Argument of summary judgment and other substantive motions “will generally not be permitted.”

Settlement Conferences

“Parties are expected to be fully familiar with the action and authorized and prepared to discuss settlement, pursuant to 22 NYCRR 202.26 (a).”

AI Disclosure

A party that used artificial intelligence to prepare a filing “shall advise the court of that fact in said document.”
